Statement of Faith
We believe the 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the complete, inspired, infallible Word
of God. The Scriptures were written through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by human writers as
they were divinely inspired. We hold the King James 1611 Version of the Bible to be the infallible
Word of God, preserved for us in our own language, in the words God wanted us to have. It is our final
authority for faith and practice. The King James
Version will be the official and only version used
by this Church.
(II Timothy 3:16, Psalms 119:89, II Peter 1:20-21)
We believe God eternally exists in three Persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(II Corinthians 13:4, I John 5:5-10)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten
Son of God; that He was God incarnate in the flesh,
and that He was born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus lived a sinless life on earth. We
believe that Christ was crucified on a cross, died,
was buried and on the third day rose bodily from the
grave to be our eternal living Savior. We believe
the death of Christ on the cross was the
substitutional sacrifice for our sin and is the only
sacrifice for our sin acceptable in the eyes of God.
(Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:26-35, John 1:1-14, Romans 5:8,
Galatians 4:4)
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells the
believer at the time of salvation, and that all
believers are baptized into the one true Body of
Christ. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is to draw
and convict the lost, comfort the believer and
convict the believer of sin, judgment and
righteousness.
(John 14:26; 16:6-14, I Corinthians 12:12-13)
We believe that baptism is a command of the Lord Jesus
Christ for all believers. It is a picture of the death,
burial and resurrection of Christ; and though not
required for salvation, it is the first command for all
believers. Immersion is the only scriptural mode of
baptism, and is for believers only.
(Mathew 28:19, Acts 8:36-38, Romans 6:3-4)
We believe salvation through Jesus Christ is eternal
and everlasting. Once saved, the believer can never lose
the free gift of salvation under and circumstance.
(John 10:28, Philippians 1:6, I Peter 1:5 &19-23)
We believe the Lords Supper is a commemoration of the
death of our savior. His flesh is represented by
unleavened bread and His blood by the unfermented fruit
of the vine. This should be celebrated periodically
until his return.
(Luke 22:17-20, I Corinthian 11:17-26)
We believe that man was created in the express image
of God but because of the sin of Adam man became
alienated from God and inherited a sinful nature.
Therefore man is depraved and completely unable to
remedy his condition in and of himself.
(Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3, Romans 3:22-23, Romans 5:8-12,
Romans 6:23)
We believe that the local Church
is the true Bride of Christ. It is made up solely of
born again baptized believers. The Church shall be
autonomous and independent of external control or
authority. We believe Scriptures teaches clearly the
establishment and continuance of local churches. We
recognize water baptism and the Lords Supper as
scriptural ordinances for the local Church in this age.
(I Corinthians 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 5:25-33, Acts 2:41-42,
Acts 13:1-4, Acts 14:27, I Timothy 3:1-13)
We believe it is a command for all who name the name of Christ
to separate themselves from worldly and sinful pleasures,
practices and associations.
(Romans 12:1-2, II Corinthians 6:14, I John 2:15-17)
We believe in the imminent premillinial return of our Lord
Jesus Christ to rapture all believers out of this world prior to
a seven year tribulation period.
(Psalm 89:3-4, I Thessalonian 1:10, 4:13-18, Titus 2:13, Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and
declared enemy of God and man. At the end of this world he will
be cast into the lake of fire and eternally punished.
(Isaiah 14:12-17, Mathew 4:2-11, Revelation 20:10)
We believe that God created the universe in six literal 24
hour periods. We reject all other theories concerning the origin
of the universe.
(Genesis 1-2, Exodus 20:11)
We believe the God ordained and established the authority of
three basic institutions 1-the home, 2-the Church, 3-the state.
God has given each institution specific responsibilities and the
authority to carry out those responsibilities. No one
institution has the right to infringe upon the other. every
person is subject to these authorities, but all (including the
authorities themselves) are subject to God and governed by His
Word. The home, the Church and the state are equal and sovereign
in their respective Biblically assigned sphere of responsibility
under God.
(Romans 13:1-7, Ephesians 5:22-24, Hebrews 13:17, I Peter 2:13-14)
We believe that God has commanded His people to support the Church financially
with their free-will offerings. The tithe is established as the
basis of giving, but the believer should also give cheerfully
and sacrificially as an act of worship to God, as to finance the
ministries of the Church. We believe the Christian relinquishes
all rights to direct the use of the tithe once the gift has been
given.
(Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:8-10, I Corinthians 16:1-2, Galatians 6:6, I Timothy 5:17-18)
We believe God has given the Church a Great Commission to
proclaim the Gospel to all nations tribes and ethnic groups,
Therefore, we believe the Church has a sacred duty to support in
every way possible the work of missionaries (foreign and
domestic) to give all people the opportunity to come to Christ
the Savior.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:21, Acts 1:8, II Corinthians 5:20)
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual
activity should be engaged in outside of marriage between a man
and a woman. We believe this is a moral and not political issue.
We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism,
bisexuality, incest, fornication, adultery, pedophilia and
pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex.
(Genesis 2:24-25, 19:1-25, Leviticus 19:1-30, Romans 1:22-32, I Corinthians 5:1, 6:9,
I Thessalonian 4:1-5, Hebrews 13:4)
We believe that life begins at conception, and that an unborn
child is a living being. Abortion constitutes the willful murder
of an unborn child. Abortion is a moral and not a political
issue. We reject the teaching that abortion and pregnancies due
to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth control
or the so called mental well being of the mother are acceptable.
(Job 3:16, Psalm 51:5, 139:14-16, Isaiah 44:24, Jeremiah 1:5, 20:15-18, Luke 1:44)
